COMPANY HISTORY
TURAB, Turbin & Regulatorservice AB was formed in 1965 by Uno Leander and Boye Rooth. Both had many years of experience from Nässjö Turbin AB and also good relationships with a number of clients. From its modest beginnings the company has grown steadily and today employs 35 people.
In 1984 operations were taken over by Christer Abrahamsson and Ingvar Andersson who had both held leading positions in the company for many years.
In 1978 TURAB added manufacture of its own turbines to its service, repair and renovation operations. This was made possible by a license agreement between TURAB and the late Herman A. Lindquist, a well known turbine designer. Today we are able to offer our clients the results of his research and long experience in the turbine field.
In 1996 TURAB was accredited with quality standard ISO 9001. At TURAB the word quality means reliability, good performance, guaranteed deliveries and a high level of service. We believe that this interpretation of quality will enable us to maintain the best possible client relationships.
Hydraulic design technology is available to us, by a license agreement with Karsbol Consulting AB, founded by Herman Lindquist, who earlier was the product manager for hydro turbines at NOHAB, the large scale Swedish hydro turbine manufacturer. Ownership of Karsbol Consulting is held by the Lindquist family and research work is done by Dipl. Ing Rodrigo Salvioli, who worked with Mr Lindquist for over 20 years. The board of TURAB Turbin & Regulatorservice AB has appointed Åse Esselius as the new CEO of the company. After 8 years at TURAB, of which FOUR as CEO, Richard Abrahamsson leaves for a job in another industry. Åse Esselius, who has a master's degree in mechanical engineering, most recently came from FläktGroup in Jönköping, where she held a number of different senior positions for 20 years. She also has experience from Husqvarna AB and Jönköping Energi.
"We warmly welcome Åse to TURAB and at the same time want to thank Richard for meritorious work during his time at the company," says Henrik Mella, Chairman of the Board of TURAB.
